United Airlines' Analytics and Innovation (Ai) team plays a crucial role in solving complex business challenges through advanced analytics and operations research. This team collaborates with various business and technology units—including Airport Operations, Contact Centers, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Digital Products, and Human Resources—to enhance strategic decision-making and optimize processes.
As an Associate Data Scientist, your key responsibilities will include:
✔ Identifying Business Opportunities: Partnering with business teams to analyze data and discover areas for improvement.
✔ Developing OR Solutions: Implementing Operations Research (OR) techniques like Linear Programming (LP), Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP), and Markov Decision Processes (MDP) to develop innovative solutions.
✔ Building & Optimizing Algorithms: Using heuristics such as Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to enhance operational efficiency.
✔ Analyzing and Interpreting Data: Delivering high-quality insights and maintaining proper documentation for seamless workflows.
✔ Communicating Insights: Presenting findings in a structured manner to managers, team leaders, and stakeholders.
✔ Technical Coordination: Ensuring regular collaboration with teams and providing timely updates on projects.
This role is based on local terms and conditions. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The hiring is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

| Communication | Fluent in English (written and spoken). |
| Interview Process | Must clear the interview process and demonstrate punctuality and reliability as key job functions. |
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Advanced experience with solvers like Gurobi and CPLEX.
✔ Expertise in designing algorithms and heuristics for OR formulations in an industry or academic setting.
✔ Theoretical and practical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) modeling.
