Responsibilities

As a member of the Software Engineering division, you will:

  • Write SQL queries for data extraction.
  • Develop scripts using Python (PySpark) to implement algorithms.
  • Understand requirements and technical designs.
  • Build code aligned with design specifications and coding standards.
  • Conduct peer-code reviews to ensure defect detection and maintain code quality.
  • Document ETL processes and data flow diagrams.
  • Optimize data extraction and transformation processes for performance.
  • Perform data quality checks and debug issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for data issues and implement fixes.
  • Collaborate with experienced developers on larger projects.
  • Participate in discussions around requirements, design, and implementation.
  • Engage in learning opportunities to enhance technical skills.
  • Test storage systems after transferring data.
  • Gain exposure to Business Intelligence platforms like OAC, Power BI, or Tableau.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in BI (Business Intelligence) tools.
  • Expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and development.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, especially Python.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing.
  • Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
